QQI Levels 1 to 6 are certified awards under the National Framework of Qualifications. To be awarded a certificate, the student must demonstrate that they have acquired the knowledge and the skills required at each level. We offer QQI Courses to level 5, which will demonstrate competence to a potential employer and / or enable the student to access third level qualifications. Learners on the Youthreach programme are entitled to a training allowance and additional allowances for meal, travel and accommodation are also available.
Kilbeggan Further Education and training Centre also offers a range of other subjects which we believe will help students to grow and develop certain skills apart from academic skills. These subjects include teambonding, student choice classes, current affairs, mastermind and self-learning classes. While some of these subjects might push you out of your comfort zone, we encourage all students to take part and in time you will see the benefits these classes have to offer. We also run numerous workshops throughout the year such as the HACCAP (Certified), Manual Handling (Certified), CPR and Defib Training (Certified), Personal Safety and more. As a centre, we also take part in a range of activities that take place outside the centre throughout the year. We believe that our link with our community is extremely important. We strive to meet the individual needs of all our students so if you feel you have a talent in a particular area or are interested in something in particular please feel free to talk to the Co-ordinator or the assistant Co-ordinators.
