Kilbeggan Further Education and Training Centre (formerly Kilbeggan Youthreach) is part of the Longford Westmeath Education Training Board. Our work is co-funded by the Irish Government, the European Social Fund and the Youth Employment Initiative. Through a team of five staff, we create a learning environment which challenges students to excel academically, while building their self-esteem and developing social skills through varied extracurricular activities.

We work with young people between the ages of 15 & 21, who - for whatever reason - did not complete a formal education. We deliver a blended learning programme with small class sizes and regular one to one guidance counselling. We help individual students to develop their practical, personal and social skills and prepare them for higher education or employment.
We offer QQI General Learning Qualifications at levels 3, 4 and 5. QQI prepares the student to progress within employment or to continue with their education. At the Kilbeggan Further Education & Training Centre, our students will study modules including maths, history, IT, communication, cooking and entrepreneurial skills; plus a range of extra curricular activities.
Our services are open to individuals between the ages of 15 - 21 years. If you would like to join us, please get in touch!
